Hakkasan / 4441 Collins Avenue / Dim sum may be a tough
sell in the early morning hours when coffee and cake
seems best suited to early risers, but tender Chinese
dumplings, tea-smoked meats and stir-fried beans make
a mighty fine brunch after noon at the Fontainebleau's
elegant eatery where the Miami Spice menu offers a belly
full of the restaurants best bites for a very reasonable

Our September Epicurean Expedition includes a
few of our favorite places in Miami Beach offering generous

Breakfast
11 Street Diner, 1065 Washington Avenue. While Guy Fieri
may have hit a niche somewhere between "Diners, Drive-Ins
and Dives" (this is a funky dive-y diner), there are
so few spots where the 24 hour dining experience is
so vividly captured than this steel dining car transplanted
to South Beach from Jersey and making a scene day and
night on South Beach. Grab a stool, a short stack and
watch what happens!
Afternoon Action
Bernie's L.A. Cafe, 1570 Alton Road. One of the biggest
splashes of Summer 2010 (especially at SB-USA headquarters)
is the launch of Bernie Matz's casual new cafe on the
west side of South Beach where the tacos, fajitas and
daily specials rock our world. Bernie's Books & Books
fans should dash from the relative doldrums of
Lincoln Road Mall to this tiny but mighty good spot
ASAP!
Brunch
La Marea, 1220 Ocean Drive. Experience the "Lazy Breakfast"
menu which is served daily until 2pm for folks who need
a little extra time to get things going in the morning.

mall regular haunts for this tasty getaway where a breakfast
